If a claim is filed against your bond, you might be notified by:

  • a representative
  • a representative from the issuing surety market
  • the obligee's office
  • the claimant
  • any combination of these

To resolve a claim, you'll ultimately work with the issuing surety market's claim department regardless of the claim's validity. does not process, handle, or manage any claims on behalf of our markets, but we can always provide you with the needed contact information for claim resolution.

Based on the nature of the claim, your issuing surety market might choose to cancel your bond, which is always at their sole discretion.
