What do I do with this notice of cancellation?

This article explains what to do when you receive a notice of cancellation.

Last updated on 01 Oct, 2021

If you received a notice of cancellation, your bond has been officially canceled by your surety underwriting market.

Some regulatory agencies (also known as the bond's "obligee") require that surety companies provide formal notices of cancellation (NOCs) to client principals if their bond is canceled for any reason.

The cancellation notice is for your reference only. If you were expecting your bond to be canceled, you don't need to do anything with it.

If you are unsure why you received the cancellation notice or believe you received it in error, call 1 (800) 308-4358 or email customercare@suretybonds.com, and one of our friendly representatives will be happy to help.

You can also verify the current status of your bond online 24/7 at suretybonds.com/verify.
