What is a notice of cancellation?

This article explains what a notice of cancellation is and when it's provided.

Last updated on 29 Oct, 2021

A notice of cancellation is the official document your surety market issues and ships to your state or other bond holder (also known as the "obligee") to advise that the bond will be effectively canceled and no longer active. This document is always issued by your surety market and shipped directly to your obligee.

Notices of cancellation are sent out during a bond's cancellation period, which you can read more about here

If you'd like to cancel a surety bond our company manages for you, call 1 (800) 308-4358 or email customercare@suretybonds.com, and one of our friendly representatives will be happy to help you.
