What if I don't have personal information for all of my company's legal owners?

New Bond Requests

What if I don't have personal information for all of my company's legal owners?

This article explains what to do if you don't have personal information for all of your company's legal owners.

If your bond type or account requires underwriting to determine pricing, SuretyBonds.com must have personal information for all legal owners associated with a business entity before submitting the application for underwriter review. SuretyBonds.com requires the following individual information be provided in our online application.

  • name

  • home address

  • phone number

  • email address

  • date of birth

  • social security number

  • home ownership status

  • years of industry experience

If you don't have all information required for each individual owner, you'll need to get it before submitting your finalized application.

You should always verify ownership with the entity requiring your bond (also known as the "obligee") before submitting a new bond request. The ownership information your obligee and surety have should always match perfectly.

Whenever you have all application information ready, you can submit your surety bond request online 24/7 or call 1 (800) 308-4358 if you'd like one of our friendly representatives to walk you through the process.

A company cannot change or misrepresent its legal ownership for the sole purpose of lowering insurance premium costs. Misrepresenting or omitting company or business ownership information when submitting a surety bond application is a form of insurance fraud.
